These cheap non member low lifes clog up the parking lot and tables for members like me and my family that spend tens of thousands a year at costco. Reply paul crottie says: February 22, 2020 at 4:37 am That already act like it is off limits to non members trying to usher me to the card desk foh I'm here for the hot dogs Reply paul crottie says: February 22, 2020 at 4:43 am I agree, bad choice for Costco, the non members wont buy memberships it will just clear out the restaurant for the simple fact that these people arnt thinking that far in advance otherwise they wouldn't be at Costco eating hotdogs Reply Kandy says: February 22, 2020 at 7:30 am Dear Costco, If you want more members lower the membership fee. Reply Jacob Castro says: February 22, 2020 at 8:17 am Oh boo hoo. Non members are the greedy ones! If you owned Costco and it was your profits, you’d do the same! Ding dongs. Reply guambombboy says: February 22, 2020 at 12:04 pm Everyone should note that the food court at Costcos for the most part do not turn a profit for the company, just like their rotisserie chickens. They are there as an incentive to become a member. They are doing this to make it more convenient for current members by making the lines shorter. Also, lol at the people in the video saying they are losing business, when they do not shop Costco to begin with… Reply Adam says: February 22, 2020 at 5:31 pm Costco sales gonna go down Reply Storm says: February 22, 2020 at 9:30 pm If that’s there decision I respect it but I guarantee 90% of the people who go to the food court aren’t the ones who have a membership they better think twice otherwise they may end up closing it down altogether. Just saying. Reply Big O says: February 22, 2020 at 10:35 pm Bad idea they will lose money Reply K says: February 23, 2020 at 3:43 am I dont know how you get into costcos food court without a membership lol Reply Tatsujiro Kurogane says: February 23, 2020 at 4:16 am This is great news. I rarely eat there but after shopping there the other day I saw at least 10 people that were obviously too poor to belong there, eating and taking up cafeteria spaces members might have used, and that was in Canada. I can't imagine what it must be like with the flocks of upright cockroaches you guys have in the states. Reply Betrayed-Embezzled And Plagarized says: February 23, 2020 at 6:18 am Oh gee whizz, I'm running to my nearest Costco 60 miles away to pay $60 for that 50 cents hot dog. When I checked out the place, I was NOT impressed I was stunned at what I didnt think was quality for their muffins. Granted they have a lot of stuff, but for a single person I didn't find it right for me and as I added the soda, it was cheaper at Price Chopper or Hannaford. As for Sam's, NEVER! Its party to Walmart and Walmart locally has gates to prevent you from turning around to get a basket if you decided you wanted a basket or even a hand basket. I see a deadly fire hazard or look at that El Paso shooting, I see these blockades deadly and terrifying. I see death each time I enter my local Walmarts and theres 5 within my 30 mile radius, the supercenter. I hate going in there but will out of pure curiosity or other. I see death each time I enter and those gates shut. In a rampage of exiting for your lives I see you will die. Now, if I got married and more affluent, I might consider Costco but not in NY. Any chance I can, I refuse to listen to any stations from this death state of NY and I make sure when possible not to buy anything from NY. Reply BeesOnTheNet says: February 23, 2020 at 12:56 pm I'm pretty sure Costco don't run their food courts to make money. It's a lost leader, a way of attracting customers. They may even lose money on their food court, so excluding non-members makes sense. Their rotisserie chickens are the same, you pop in to Costco on your way home from work to get a chicken for dinner, guess what, you come out with a bunch of extra things. Costco is my favourite store, their business model is second to none! Reply Jeff Kash says: February 23, 2020 at 3:49 pm Non members how come to eat there must probably are people with lower income or single retirees with limited income whom they can't afford to pay for membership and they don't need large packages of groceries . And this is heartless decision by Costco Reply David Olvera says: February 23, 2020 at 5:26 pm Non members need to get a membership period. This is a membership club not a non membership club. Reply atlgator says: February 24, 2020 at 12:15 am Fine with me. Pay up cheapskates. Reply Abner Moenga says: February 24, 2020 at 2:48 am Their just going to lose money by only letting members only into the food court. Since a large majority of their food court sales are of non costco members. Reply sayjai bao says: February 24, 2020 at 7:28 am That's bullsh*t Costco! Reply Jackey Niraula says: February 24, 2020 at 2:50 pm Thanks, Costco. I always hated that long line and wait on weekend to get a box of 🍕, hopefully that will improve. Reply Melissa McCormick says: February 24, 2020 at 10:12 pm Why are people upset about this? If you go to a membership warehouse regularly for a cheap hot dog and you aren’t a member there, reevaluate your life choices. What a stupid thing to get upset about. I haven’t been a member at Costco for a few years, and I haven’t had the urge to go hang out at the food court there….there’s always the value menu at McDonald’s for you folks 😂 Reply Chris says: February 24, 2020 at 11:26 pm Good. Less people that haven't contributed in our line. More parking spots too. It's a win win for real customers. Should also keep the degenerates out as well. Well done costco. Reply Michael Kim says: February 25, 2020 at 12:43 am About time hopefully now the lines won't be CRAZY! Reply SIGN OF THE SOUTHERN CROSS says: February 25, 2020 at 4:04 am I don't care ! Matter of fact they can shove their pizza all the way up their snob rectum ! Reply kim Vuong says: February 25, 2020 at 5:17 am Omg this is dumb Reply Jannie Foster says: February 25, 2020 at 10:19 am There's 53 weeks in a year so with the cost of a membership its $1.13 a week, that's a great deal !! Reply David King says: February 25, 2020 at 12:48 pm They will probably build a border wall also for non-member Americans around their food court. Reply Harold Ingebretsem says: February 25, 2020 at 3:09 pm Poor people should protest Costco Reply DSLightning21 says: February 25, 2020 at 8:21 pm I stopped eating there ever since they got rid of the $1.50 almond bar, so I'm immune to this Costho news. 😉 Reply r m says: February 25, 2020 at 8:22 pm Good. Their food is fattening and full of sodium nitrates…cancer causing Reply asjkiea12 says: February 25, 2020 at 8:51 pm tHEy’RE GoNNa lOsE CUsTomErs Yeah, that’s the point you idiots. The Costco food court is a loss leader, meaning that each food sale actually loses money. The point of the food court is to entice members to join and shop at Costco. Non-members just going into the food court probably costs the company a lot of money since they aren’t actually buying goods at Costco, which is where Costco recoups the losses they take at the food court.
