Healthier Cocktails, Mixers and Low-Calorie Drinks
Who doesn’t love a fancy cocktail? But nobody
loves the calorie count that comes with it. Here’s how to keep them in check when you’re
drinking margaritas, mixed drinks and wine. Margarita mixes are packed with calories and
sugar. Make a skinnier version by getting back to the basics: fresh lime juice, tequila
and triple sec. To cut the salt in half, combine lime zest with salt, rub the rim with lime
juice, then dip into the lime salt. If you like your liquor with soda, make the switch
to diet soda, or try mixing your liquor with seltzer and a splash of your favorite juice.
Both give you a mixed drink for about 100 calories. Finally, for the wine lovers, turn
your glass of vino into a wine spritzer. Replace half of a glass of cold white wine with club
soda and a splash of citrus juice for a refreshing and bubbly cocktail. Those are just a few
