How To Prove Dough | 1 Minute Tips | Four Spoons Bakery
Hey everyone. Nicole here from Four Spoons Bakery. Let me show you the best way to prove dough. Proving dough is the act of letting yeast dough rise. Now when the yeast is in your bread, it starts to eat the starches in the flour. Nom nom nom! And that produces lovely little air bubbles. Now your dough will rise fast in a warm, drought-free moist environment. And the best place to make that kind of environment is in your oven. Turn on your oven and set a timer for two minutes. When the timer dings turn off the oven. Fill a bowl with boiling water and place in the oven. Close the door and turn on the oven light. Now allow your oven to sit undisturbed whilst you prep and knead your dough. Once the bread is ready to be proved the oven will be just the right temperature and humidity to encourage a good rise.
