December 11, 2019 0 By Ewald Bahringer

Hello, I’m Dr. Katherine Markwell. I’m
the Programme Leader for the Masters of Science in Obesity and Weight Management.
I’ve been working in obesity research and practice for fifteen years. I have a
PhD in the psychology of weight loss, I’m a HCPC registered dietitian and
also qualified exercise scientist. Our one year full-time programme has every
module focused on obesity and weight management, covers the latest evidence in public health, psychology, anthropometrics, diet, exercise and research methods.
All our students also conduct their own Master’s research project. At the
University of Chester we pride ourselves on the excellence and expertise of our
teaching staff. We also have real-world visiting lecturers to enhance your
experience. Three of our modules offer practical sessions so you can develop
your skills further. Our programme is flexible so you can work while you study.
This is a really great course for those who already have a health degree but
want to further their career and develop and specialise in obesity and weight
management. Our graduates work in a variety of fields in both public and
private sectors. If you are interested, please contact us.
