Any theories ?? Reply HAMP says: October 11, 2018 at 4:22 am One side effect of Melatonin is raised blood sugar levels. Maybe I should be clear and say over dosage will raise it. My story WAS, being overweight(morbidly obese), not knowing what sleep apnea was, and having the worst sleep schedule. First time using Melatonin was wonderful. I started taking more trying to get the same results(like an addict). One of my doctor visit and having blood test done. I get a call the next day with the nurse telling me that my glucose levels was 478(not a typo). When told 478, I had NO clue what that meant, but the nurse sounded very concerned. I researched online for the proper levels and that's when I freaked out. My continued researched led me to learning I was overdosing on Melatonin. I tried explaining to my doctor what I believe the problem was, but he did not believe me. Yet from that point my wife made me follow all prescribed medications. I was using a CPAP machine, taking high blood pressure meds(2 different pills), Metformin(1500 milligrams), Uloric (and another pill I can't remember the name) for gout. Now about 1 1/2 years later…I'm 85lbs lighter(still obese with about 8lbs away from being overweight… lol)No more medications…. NONE!!!Last test results show glucose 91 (per their normal range 65-140)HGB A1C 5.5%Blood pressure isn't always very close to being the same and I do sometimes worry(107/74 , 125/73, 137/89, 129/85, 137/85). The 107/74 was when I decided to stop taking all of the high blood pressure meds. I had stop one of them prior to the 107/74 results, because I felt weird. No gout attacks in that time, and I was having gout attacks twice a month for 22yrs. But I'm pre diabetic trying to get my glucose down and wondering why all of a sudden my glucose was shooting up in the morning even when I was fasted. I found an that article that said that access melatonin causes insulin to go down. So if you're diabetic be careful. I've stopped taking it Reply Daisy Roe says: November 8, 2018 at 10:19 pm Is there something that can be done to fall asleep without pills, say like something that won't hurt me? Reply Audrey Patrick says: November 18, 2018 at 10:30 pm I get the wildest dreams Reply Monica Havemann says: December 1, 2018 at 9:48 pm In many European countries you can buy Melatonin over the counter. Like in France and Britain. In Denmark, however it is a prescription drug, but it is legal to import it from other European countries. Oh I feel like sht now, is it my fault?! And if it is, is all that “hormonal imbalance time going to catch up”. Is it going to affect me on the long run. I’m going to stop. I take about 5 mg every night. When I don’t take them I don’t sleep so it’s going to be hard. Reply Fuck You says: February 19, 2019 at 8:11 am I do alot of maladaptive daydreaming(not by choice) and I now take 10mg of Meletonin to try get me to sleep at night due to maladaptive daydreaming instead of sleeping. the combination of both give me the most ridiculously real lucid dreams, I love sleep now! Reply Dreamy says: September 3, 2019 at 3:32 pm Why hasn’t the fda tested melatonin at all? Reply Perry Westley says: September 21, 2019 at 4:40 pm I failed to take my insomnia very seriously before because it mainly takes place once in a while. Not till 5 years after where it is now the most awful dilemma. It is already the best sleep for me personally if I can sleep at night for 3 hours. Regularly, I could not make myself to get sleep all night. I tried this unique alternative “Fαnvοkα Fawam” (Google it). Right on the spot, only on that day only, I observed good outcomes. In just a week I had been resting 4-7 hours every night. And it also continues to enhance even better as I constantly utilize the manual. .
