The Future of this Channel | An Unexpected Return

The Future of this Channel | An Unexpected Return

September 28, 2019 8 By Ewald Bahringer

– What’s up everybody? My name’s David Lancaster and
welcome to this week’s video. Now, today I want to talk to you about my change in kind of approach and plans for the future for this channel. (upbeat music) So just to kind of clarify. Originally, this week, the video was gonna be
about my Harley Davidson, it was gonna be a motorbike video, and I enjoyed making it, but it just got to a point where it just felt void
of any real purpose. So in the end I kinda scrapped it, but what I will do is I’ll
put, at the end of this video, just some silly little b-roll clips with a little bit of music
of me being a dickhead with my motorbike if you like. When I say being a dickhead, I don’t mean being unsafe
or breaking the law, I just mean me being a plonker. If you wanna see that,
hang around till the end. If you haven’t already, please
do consider dropping a like and subscribing to the channel and hitting the notification bell. Obviously, if you watched
the Borderless Live video then you’ll have seen
that one of the things that I’ve been struggling with recently is kind of working out what the niche of this channel’s going to be. I think that the thing
that I have the most expertise in is fitness and nutrition and for such a long
time I wanted to kind of avoid making videos
about that sort of thing because I didn’t want to be just another gym dickhead on YouTube. But the more I’ve thought about it, the more I’ve kind of
like been thinking about how I can add more value and how I can add some
information or education to them. One thing that I would
really like to achieve with this channel, apart from it perhaps
becoming somewhat successful, obviously you measure
success in your own way, is that I’d like to be able to provide at least some degree of
education on so many things that I think that the
general fitness community will just spout bullshit for
the sake of getting views and making money and I
think that that’s unfair. So I’d like to create
some educational videos on fitness and nutrition that are helpful, practical, led by scientific
principle and reliable. All of them will require hard work, none of it is easy, there’s no shortcut or hack to fitness or anything like that. If someone tells you that then
they’re just fucking lying. Now, one of the other things that I want to kind of tie into it, and this is something
that I actually want to do in my personal life anyway, is to perhaps set some
rather strange and different fitness challenges for
myself going forwards and perhaps document the processes, how I create the training
plans to do certain things, and those fitness challenges, I’d also like to do some of
them for charity as well. I’d like to be able to give
back a little bit more. So, with regards to
the fitness challenges, if you, by any chance,
have any recommendations, a fitness challenge that you’ve done, something that you want to do, something that you think
would be fun to learn about in terms of how to train for it, please do leave it in the
comment section below. Drop it in there and
tell me what you think you’d be interested in seeing. I have a pretty good
idea of some challenges that I’d like to do. For example that I really want to do, is the National Three Peaks Challenge, which is climbing the three tallest peaks in Britain, in 24 hours. I have absolutely no
experience in doing that at all so I’m going to obviously do my research, put some work in and then write an
appropriate training program, speak to some people that actually have
experience in the matter, speak to people that have done that sort of thing and create something that’ll be quite interesting out of that. So, yeah, if you have an
idea for a fitness challenge, please do let me know. Please drop it in the
comment section below. If you have any other ideas, or anything fitness, nutrition related, anything like that that you
would like an answer to, again, drop that into the comments ’cause I’ll be more than happy to fill in as many gaps as I possibly can, whether it’s in the comment section or in videos themselves. If this plan of going forwards
with fitness related topics turns you on, please subscribe, if it turns you off, you can unsubscribe if you like, it’s entirely up to you. But my aim will be to generate content that is applicable and practical to as many people as possible. Like, subscribe, hit
the notification bell. I love you, thanks a
lot for your patience, and I will see you all very, very soon. Ski-doosh! (upbeat rock music)
