Consumers should be demanding conscientious manufacturing practices, ecologically friendly products, and manufacturers should be looking at sensible practices that reduce energy demands and waste. This was a thoughtful doc. Thank you! Reply Pankaj Shah says: March 22, 2019 at 4:11 am Very much important and innovative for this new world. Please let me know your more detail for support you. Reply stenmaster1 says: March 24, 2019 at 2:44 am It surprises me that this very informative and well done documentary has received only 40k views as of 3/2019. Even more disappointing is that anyone would thumbs down. While ridiculous channels receive millions of views it just goes to show how people are clueless as to how fast we are destroying our one and only earth. Reply Jason Olson says: August 8, 2019 at 11:27 pm Make a new kind of human that doesn't waste so much or consume so much Reply Matthew Trow says: August 17, 2019 at 5:12 pm Benefit of hindsight – what happened to all these ideas? Are they out there? This documentary is now 12 years old and the scale of waste – of plastic waste that is never recycled – has skyrocketed. The problem has got worse, so I can only assume these ideas are either still in fruition, are too 'expensive' for manufacturers or the fossil fuel industry has lobbied against them – successfully. It is estimated that as little as 10% of plastic is recycled. The rest ends up in the environment, either burned, in landfill or in the oceans, in animals, in the air, in the water, in us. Procrastinating change. By 2020? Im commenting right now and its December 2019.. you do not have to be a genius to see you and I as well as everyone else is destroying the one thing that sustains us… Earth. I really don't documentaries like this. Its to bad majority of people do not really realize or they are just completely brainwashed consuming piles of shit. To me I will be happy to know that you and I both will become a part of this planet in the end. Unfortunately I think its to late. Mother Earth will wipe us clean off soon enough and we have nobody else to blame other than ourselves. Its infuriating to me how careless most people are. They should be shot. Or become part of the local landfill. More people need to act on this now. Its not a laughing matter we can just wipe under the rug. We need to do everything we can to try to repair what mess we have created. Yes you the consumer reading my comment you are just as guilty as everyone else. Stop watching documentaries on the topic and get off your ass and help. Reply Golden Eagle says: December 9, 2019 at 2:16 am 41:44 she does look like her dad doesn't she?
