so you decided to take a vitamin D
supplement well it can get a bit confusing with the strengths firstly remember if your vitamin D is severely deficient you need a treatment dose
which your doctor will prescribe but for vitamin D maintenance dose
I recommend 1,000 units daily especially during autumn to winter now that’s 25
micrograms and on the packet it might say 25 μg which means micrograms I prefer vitamin d3 cholecalciferol because it’s a more
biologically active form of vitamin D and so It’ll readily absorb in our body.
You can take too much of a good thing though so careful it’s not any
supplements you’re already taking in spring and summer you can get your
vitamin D naturally by spending 15 to 20 minutes in the Sun with your arms and
face and uncovered and lastly sunshine is great but make sure to stay protected
